I recommend that you read my story first. Here it is: Last night my computer restarted by itself and the screen is blank. I opened my computer and tried to remove my RAM, and the mobo itself beeping, so I thought it's VGA problem. I went to sleep last night because I got classes by tomorrow So the next day, I tried to remove by 2x2GB RAM and replace it with my old 1x1GB RAM. It worked, so I thought fixed it. But, a more serious problem appears after I switched off my computer by holding the power button, the heatsink fan spins very fast, faster than normally it does but the power lamp is switched off. I panicked and then I removed the power cable. When I plug it back, the fan still spins so fast. Then I give up, I don't know what to do, I set my case back in and put it to my desk again. When I try to power it up again, it only on for a while, then goes off. But the fans spins normally now. Is it a PSU problem? Or my Motherboard broke?
It could be one or the other or both.. the first thing to try is another PSU , then if that doesn't do it, then I would check the motherboad out..
