There are 5. $800, 2 are $700, 1 is $550 and one is $500, There in price order. I know a decent amount about computers, just want to see what everyone else would pick. The $800 Dell seems awesome Dell - Inspiron Laptop / Intel® Core™ i5 Processor / 17.3" Display / 6GB Memory / 640GB Hard Drive - Mars Black - I17R-2950MRB Gateway - Laptop / Intel® Core™ i5 Processor / 15.6" Display / 4GB Memory / 500GB Hard Drive - Black - Nv55c26u Asus - Laptop / Intel® Core™ i5 Processor / 15.6" Display / 4GB Memory / 640GB Hard Drive - Dark Navy - U52F-BBL9 Gateway - Laptop / Intel® Core™ i3 Processor / 15.6" Display / 4GB Memory / 500GB Hard Drive - Espresso - NV59C66u Gateway - Laptop / Intel® Core™ i3 Processor / 15.6" Display / 4GB Memory / 500GB Hard Drive - Espresso - NV59C66u
The links are corrupted. Anyway, a 17.3 laptop is huge. More like a portable desktop. That's the only downside that I see. Of course the $800 is a lot better. I'd go for the Gateway (2nd in list) just because of the 15". Those 6gb will not give that big of a boost. But if that's the only computer you'll have for work/education/entertainment, then pick the most expensive one.
I would stay away from Gateway and Asus mainly because of the way they are made, They are made more cheaply and I have to repair them all the time.. I would go with a Toshiba or Dell ... In my Opinion Toshiba is one of the best for a notebook /laptops...
