So basically I'd like to get a feel of how much of an upgrade this would be. I'd also like to know how well games will run with this new build.

    Here is my current computer:
Dell Dimension E520 Product Details | Dell
    Specs I bought:
CPU: CoreTM 2 Duo processor 4300
    OS: Windows XP
    RAM Memory: 1GB (Now 3GB)
    HD: 150GB
    Graphics: Onboard (Now Geforce 6800)
    Sound: Integrated/Onboard

    Things I added:
    450W PSU
    Couple extra fans

    This is my new build:
    PSU: Newegg.com - hec X-Power Pro 650 650W Continuous @ 40°C ATX 12V v2.2 / EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply
    CPU: Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Desktop Processor - C3 Revision HDZ555WFGMBOX
    Mobo: Newegg.com - ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
    RAM: Newegg.com - Kingston HyperX 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Desktop Memory Model KHX8500D2/1G (2 of these)
HD: Using one from Dell PC
    Graphics: Newegg.com - HIS IceQ H567Q1GD Radeon HD 5670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity
Also using some other parts from the dell such as dvd drive.

    Thanks for your advice!

Are you still going to be using Windows xp or are you making the jump to 7? also why don't you go for a ddr3 mobo and ddr3 ram to future proof a little bit?

I plan on using Windows XP. I'm on a really tight budget as well. But how much of an upgrade do you think this would be compared to my current PC?
