    In my desktop pc,
    CPU: intel P4 3.06
    Ram: 1. 1GB DDR2 667
    2. 1GB DDR2 800

My pc is much slower than i expected. I think there might be a cpu bottleneck because my processor is a low speed one and ram is 2GB.
(Previously i had only 256MB Ram with this CPU and i upgraded it to 2GB.)

Is this correct..?? Do i have to upgrade my CPU to a new one..??
    Please help me..
    Thank you

You are still on P4 dude. It is time to upgrade if it is already slowing you down with that amount of ram installed already.

Well, before going on the upgrade train (although, depending on what upgrade options you have, you still may consider it), why don't you consider a few maintenance ideas.

First, if you haven't, defragmenting the hard drive would be a great place to start.
Next, see what you have running at at start up (bring up the Run box and type in msconfig and go to the startup tab) so that you may be able to uncheck things that you know aren't necessary for startup. (e.g. Microsoft Office bar, Quicken Billminder, etc)

After that, ensure you're current on your drivers and OS updates if you choose to manually update everything.
