i have this, Intel Pentium 4 530J, 3000 MHz (15 x 200) and Do i have a good increase with that D945 ? actually at first i had bought a 1gb graphic card but it made my pc slow. according to my processor, friends also said that my processor is supposed to be better. and then i'll buy 2x 2gb kingston ram. now i have 512x2 kingston. thank you for answering.
In that case, yes, the Pentium D will fare you better. It's a dual core and it thus faster than your P4. But $60 is too much to pay. You can find them for half the price on ebay, look here. If you end up buying the processor, make sure you buy thermal paste, like this one. You should notice a bit of an increase while playing games and lower temperatures. And 2gb is definitely worth an investment, if it's a good price however. I'm assuming you're running DDR1?
i live in turkey, in here, people want 125 $ even more for this D960 3.6 version of Pentium D's these are rare items you know. i use 1gb DDR2 ram now. unfortunately i'll buy it. because my motherboard is old too. its this Gigabyte GA-8I945PLGE-RH and i must pay for 15-17$ to each 1gb ddr2 533 mhz ram i'll buy dual, then 34 $ for rams. as a result, my features will be this, 2gb 533mhz ram D945 3.4 ghz processor ati 1gb 128 bit graphic compare with now, p4 3.0ghz 1gb ddr2 400mhz and i had a 256 mb graphic before 1gb
Wow, that's expensive man. If you buy them from ebay you could have them shipped to you internationally, but with the shipping prices you just might end up paying the same price in Turkey. Hm. Cool, those upgrades will help you a lot. What games do you plan on playing?
i don't think i'll buy on net. firstly i m supposed to try that processor. thanks for offering that. actually i don't play games alot. except for Silkroad online. it was in the past, but i gave up playing because of my comp. i play Cod2, counter strike 1.5 1.6 , leage of legends and fifa 2009. i could play those games but my new graphic tires my processor so much. thank you so much for helping. and lastly, could you control if my motherboard supposes to D945? i did but not sure.
I didn't understand your last question, could you please rephrase? And you should play those games nicely, just not on the highest settings
