I have a MS-7101 v2.0(865G/GVM3-V) M-ATX mainboard with a Pentium 4 Dual Core CPU based system . RAM is 512 MB (DDR) . However , sometime after I have switched on the P.C. , the screen (display) suddenly starts going bad . pink ,blue ,green & red blocks start appearing on the screen & within seconds the P.C. hangs . Recently I had set all the BIOS settings to Default . I think some setting needs to be changed here . Could you help , please ?

Is your video onboard or a card ? Does it work in the bios ?

I am not very fluent with Computers . But I certainly know that there isn't any Video card in the AGP Slot

In the BIOS , I have changed the setting for Video Card to "Onboard" . However , the problem persisted after this also . There are some other settings given there . However I don't know what values to put in these settings .

How old is this pc and when did this start happening ? Have you tried SAFE mode to see what happens ? Boot the computer pressing F8, then choose safe mode, let it load all the way and see how the video is from there.. the video will be in default mode, but this is just to see if it works in safe mode..
If it does not work, Then your onboard video could be going bad.. you could try a card to see what happens as well..
