    Hi

Please be easy as I am not very up to speed on the hardware side of computers.

I bought a cheap computer about 6 months ago but now i want to upgrade / fit a dedicated video card as its currently onboard and gaming is very slow.

It’s a Compaq sg3-350uk. When I bought it I looked at the spec and it said 2x pci-express slots so I thought no problem in adding a video card.

But yesterday I took the cover off and to my shock the only slots are two small little things not the sort of slots a video card plugs into – see attached photo of the system board.

The system board is a aria –gl8 uATX form factor and the case is a Mid size ATX and the PSU is only 160W.

So I am guessing I will need to upgrade the system board and PSU in order to get a dedicated video card fitted.

I would like some advise on the PSU, I am not sure what type to get as the system board is UATX but the case is a Mid size ATX, when I Google for a uATX PSU I am finding it hard to get a High Wattage one, with a connector for the video card as the ones I have been looking at have a 6 pin power connector.

    Many Thanks

You mean pci-e x1 slots? Like these?
And i highly doubt that you have a 160W processor. I didn't even have a 300W back in 2001. Check again. Couldnt find anything on Compaqs website. Doesn't matter really because if you want to upgrade to a dedicated card you're gonna have to upgrade that psu anyway.
