    Hello.

I've been having a problem with a keyboard of mine for a while now.

Basically, my motherboard is about 4 years old (so the solution could be to just get a new one) but what's happening is that the keyboard works fine for give or take ten minutes but then the key mappings completley change with no predicatable pattern. "Z" becomes "1" or "R becomes "." etc or most of the keys simply do not respond. I have tried changing the keyboard but it doesn't fix the problem. Restarting the computer only occasionally remedies the problem.
I used to be on Windows Vista Ultimate and have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate but the problem persists.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any idea what to do? Hardware or software problem?

    Thanks in advance.

First thing I would suggest is a virus scan on that machine, and I can say with 95% certainty that it won't be your motherboard and if not a virus would surely be the malfunction of the keyboard itself...Run a full system scan with your antivirus (hopefully not norton) and let me know if that isn't in fact the issue...Often times trojans take hold of a system and the person on the client end can change your keyboard settings, along with many other things, at their own discretion (gee thanks Sub7 lol)
