I want to change the cpu in my computer with faster one.
I have AMD Athlon XP Palomino, socket 462, 1666,7 Mhz, bus speed 133,3, fsb 266,7,
    mainboard:Model KT333-8235, VIA, KT266/333,
Bios: Phoenix technologies, LTD, version 6.00 PG

I know it's old, but it's still ok. Which cpu should be ok? Which characteristics must have?

    tnx

Can you be more specific on the motherboard model number? That's just the chipset, imo.

Anyway, you need to know the motherboard model number (like "Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3") so that you can look up the list of supported CPUs - that's your best bet. Then choose the one that's the best price/performance wise for you.
