My Computers CPU Fan is really fast and makes a lot of noise. I can Log in to the PC and use it but the fan makes a lot of noise. The task manager shows that the CPU usage is 100%. I really don't know what to do. I have posted the some pics and a little video on what my problem is I really need a fix for this because I really love this computer more than my new one please help.

    Hi,

From that video you posted it looks like you CPU is at 93 degrees Celcius? If that is correct from your video, I would say your CPU is getting way too hot and it is the reason your fan is going into overdrive. It doesnt look like dust is the problem since you took the motherboard out of the box. I would try using some compressed air to clean out the fan and heatsink. I would also apply some new thermal paste between the cpu and your heatsink/fan. If the paste is old or has dried out, it will not let heat transfer away from the cpu and to the heatsink efficiently which will overheat your processor.

Yes but I applied new thermal paste and the heat sink is cleaned out that can't be my problem because I changed it recently.

    Hi,

If you have already cleaned it out and replaced the thermal paste, it might be a bad sensor on the motherboard (I also read this sensor can be inside the processor as well) reading the temperature incorrectly which then causes the fan to speed up to try and cool it down. Something else you can try is running sysinterals process explorer. You said that your cpu is running at 100% constantly. Process explorer can show what service or program is using the cpu time better than the standard task manager. You can download it here from microsoft's site for free:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653

See if you can figure out which process is causing the processor to work so hard. If you can stop it, see if that makes a difference with the temps/fan.

I know it is not a process that is causing this because I am not in windows itself when it starts to spin fast i am in the bios menu (or what ever that menu is called that is blue).

Has it always run fast ? Or did it just start ? Do you have this computer overclocked ? Yea! those Compaq's make allot of noise in the first place..
Try changing out the cpu fan and system fan to something Quieter...Check into a Arctic cooling freezer 7 or 13 pro , for your processor fan, It will drop your cpu cooling down below 32 degrees..
