Hi, Technically my cat did this, but that's beside the point. The keyboard is a Logitech gaming keyboard, around $70, and I just purchased it so I am bummed out. Some water was spilled into it, enough that it dripped when I flipped it, but not an incredible amount. I flipped it and let it drip until it was done, then wiped up as much as possible with paper towels by pressing on the keys and blotting. I thought I was okay, but now the "n" and "m" keys are not registering when pressed (I am currently using my old keyboard that it replaced). It is now unplugged, but I'm afraid something got shorted and it's done. Any advice? Did I kill it, or is there still hope? Thanks.
when i still worked as a support, i saw a keyboard that a cat peed into (no kidding but thats prob. beside teh point too). well after i cleaned it (and i mean really cleaned it like taking the whole thing apart and cleaning everythin cause that stinks) it worked again. the voltage inside a keyboard isn't very big and if its a standart PC keyboard its protection against liquid that comes from teh top is pretty good. If i were you i would return it as warranty. If you don't want to do that just take out the m and n button and put them back in, perhaps you damaged it while cleaning. if that doesnt work you can still ake the whole thing apart and have a look i suggest some special cleaning spray (in my old workplace we used lectro cleaner to clean circuit boards. Even then its no garantuee it works but at least you took a look
Next time, use a blower machine to blow the keyboard immediately. solution, open the keyboard flex locate the line terminal use a blade to scratch the line fees is back it will work.
