I know only a little about computers, and i have a few questions. I am thinking about having some guy at a computer store build me a computer, but I was just wondering, is it even important for me to ask him where he buys his parts? I mean, is it possible for parts to be low in quality? For example, is there a chance that an i5 2500k processor from newegg.com could be higher in quality than the same processor from another website or store?

    Hi,

If you are looking at an I5 2500k processor, whether its from newegg.com or from another website store, they both have been made by intel and should be coming from the same manufacturers. There could be some differences at the plant where they are made but in general they should both be of the same specifications and the same quality. The major difference between stores and websites will be the prices and warranty as well (though hopefully the computer store would give you some kind of warranty or service if they are the ones putting it together).

No You Should not have an issue with quality of Product. The item is the same regardless of who buys it. However you should make sure you are not Over Charged for the product.

Yes be careful you're not getting ripped off. You'd probably be better off to buy the parts yourself, and put it together. Building a computer is not as hard as a lot of people think.
