Hello guys,I'm facing this issue since the last 5 months.
Computer is working absolutely fine without any graphic card but whenever i install my graphic card I start facing this issue.
The system works fine with the graphic card when the RAM is installed in the 1st slot.
When I change the RAM slot ie.Slot 2nd, computer freezes after the 'welcome screen and the wallpaper loads'
Then I need to reset my system and then it works fine.
The system has to be re-setted ten only it works or it freezes after booting.
I've got 10 more days of warranty of my hardwares so I could get them fixed. Please help ASAP.
    Thank you'.

    Pentium Dual Core [email protected]

    Hi,

If the computer runs fine with the graphics card and 1 stick of ram installed, I wouldnt think the problem is the graphics card. I would lean more towards either a Ram issue or a motherboard problem. When you have RAM in just the first slot, is it always the same stick of ram or have you tried the ram you were putting into slot 2? If you havent tried that ram, I would try it in the first slot to see if the problem happens again. You may also want to try running Memtest86+ for a few hours to see if it returns any errors. If it does, that means there is a problem with the RAM.

    hey thanks for replying.
See what i did is that I removed most of the start up items using MSCONFIG.
So now the pc boots and wallpaper appears and the icons also appear like normal.
First I had the BlackBeryy Desktop Manager which used to open on start up and that was the reason for the crash, now since i removed all the startup items pc boots normaly.
BUt when I try to open the BlackBeryy Desktop Manager or any game pc hangs.
    Winamp and rest works fine.
Then I need to reset the system and then everything works fine,
Now I'm really confused that if its a hardware issue or a software issue.
Help me out asap, thank you :)

    Hi,

If you go into the event viewer, are you coming up with any errors that happen when the crashes occurred? System errors or application errors maybe? Also, what kind of power supply do you have?
