I upgraded my system with the MSI 800XT (PCI Express).. saved long enough(!)

All games of MOH (AA, SH, BT) and UO have the same prpblem.. the gamma correction in the game is not working.. The sliders do work but there is no effect on the screen..

Motherboard is the P5DG2 from Asus, Bios updated, XP2, all drivers updated, fresh install (twice in case of) and still the same problem...

Can someone give me an idea on what to do next? Even the computer shop I go to are baffled..

    Thanks

Are you sure your monitor is working properly?

Is there enough power for the card?

Yeah their might not be alot or the amout it should get of power getting to it. Is their any other problems that you have had. That might mean that the power is not the right amout of power.

Gamma correction isn't a power issue, nor is it a hardware issue at all (except barring a dim monitor). Some drivers don't interact with games' internal gamma settings well, especially bleeding-edge drivers like PCIe ones. I had a lot of problems with ATI gamma settings back in the day, but I later fixed it with Omega Drivers. Have you tried them?

Different drivers should do the job for it.

I solved the problem for the moment using the ATI CAtalyst drivers... Dont understand why MSI did not find this problem..

Unfortunately, the MSI options are not available.. Hell, MSI auto update did not even recognize the card even with their drivers on.. The softwre said that it was not one of their cards!!

It might not be the right product it is looking for. I have never heard off it doing that ATI is the maker. But MSI has thier own type of ATI products so it should of found it.

I had that same problem before I changed monitors, now it's perfect.

What I used to do is change the gamma/brightness through the game settings.

I unfortunately don't have any other solution, other than trying different sets of drivers like Anti suggested.
