New PC and HD Monitor Issues/ Help??

Hello I am a newbie. I just purchased a HP Pavillion HPE h9-1110t Phoenix CTO Desktop PC It has a Radeon HD 7670 1gb video card. I also purchases a 24 inch 1080p viewsonic monitor.

I set it up and the monitor displayed a message saying I should change resolution to 1920x1080.

I went to change the resolution on my computer and these are my options:
1600x1200 1600x900 1440x900 1366x768 1360x768 1280x1024 1280x960 1280x800 1280x768 1280x720 ???

What's up with that and what resoluion should I choose?? Monitor is hooked up via VGA

You need to update your Video drivers..

 

Thanks for the reply. I changed from a via cable to a dvi cable and it solved my problem. Also updated the drivers while I was at it...
