I found an old computer from my father's storagehouse and I want to check it if it is better than my current computer. So I open it because it is dusty. But I don't know a thing and I think it's the RAM, the long-green card, which I found remove from the motherboard. So I try to put it on the thing and it fits but the "lock" on the side can't seem to locked the RAM. So I didn't try it, because there might be some problem or some parts are lost inside the computer.[IMG] [IMG]

Just press it and it will "lock", assuming it physically fits (right type of ram, right orientation etc).

It can't lock because the carved-in (how can say it, anyway where the lock supposed to be hold) is higher than the lock. And can you give me some sort of lesson about all the parts? My father said it don't have a harddrive but I thought it was the thing on the top right picture.

Turn lock outwards, then try to press it. Lock should turn inwards.

Top right is CD/DVD drive. Hard disk should be under it but is not. Bottom left is PSU, over that some kind of card (cannot tell what). Top left is CPU cooler and CPU is under it.
