I tried booting up an old computer (P4 1.8) running Windows NT and came up with an Inaccessible Boot Device Error code. It was working perfectly fine and I don't know what happened. Windows seems to be loading and then a blue screen with an error message comes up. It states to run CHKDSK / F, but I don't know how to do that. Please help!

boot into safemode, by pressing F8 or pressing CTRL (tapping it) when booting up, goto command prompt and type: CHKDISK /F

let it finish, and see what happens.

Also, you may want to reseat your IDE / SCSI / Power Cables to the drive, then try again.

I think you can make a bootup disk by putting a floppy into another computer running 2000 or XP and go into my computer>highlight floppy drive>file>format and check the box saying create MS-DOS start up dsk is checked then click format. When teh formats done take the disk to the other one and boot up with the disk in. It should let you use commands from there.

Thanks for all the help. Reseating the wires/cables did the trick!
