I have an asus a7n8x deluxe, the color just seemed to up and die, i've swaped video and same deal, i have not swaped moniter's yet to see if its the moniter, "in my case prolly is" but i don't see it since its only 2 weeks old, but thats why i'm here ... i'm looking to replace the board and video anyway, but i'm curious to see if anyone else has had this problem, i've had to crank up software from the moniter just to see anything, whites are still a real dull grey color .... i'll be checking the moniter within a few hours .... but in the meantime i'll run it thro you guys ... ? ... anything thoughts on what the #*&$# happened ? btw - cards a asus 5900 if that means anything.
Try taking out the video card and using the onboard card and see if it changes anything. Dark screen is sounding like it is the monitor that's the problem, especially if another video card or the onbaord doesn't work.
