As if two wasn't enough: SLI is an overachiever I can't guarentee this is factual info but it's still pretty wild.
not a surprise to me. Once I heard of the dual GPU cards I knew they were gonna SLI 'em. Just was a matter of time.
The main issues would be 1.)Power. People doing the SLI thing need beefy PSU's as is, and it'd be very likely to see people having to spend $200 for a PSU. 2.)More PCIe lanes. This would be a biggie since the nF4 maxes out at 20 PCIe lanes total. Too many PCIe cards wanting their share of lanes and you nix the point...at least with the current available technology. Of course, even with the high integration on motherboards these days, not everyone wants 4 GPU's...
Seems like graphics cards are going more in the same direction of thread level parallelism like CPUs are doing, except they aren't truely multithreaded.
