    Hi,

I currently have one 256mb PC3200/400 on my motherboard. Can I add a 512mb ram next to it ?

    Thanks!

You should be able to as long as the motherboard has the slots available and the RAM is of the same type.

I don't see why not. The only problem I can see would be if you're trying to use the dual-channel memory feature (if it's available on the motherboard). It just doesn't work with 2 different size sticks of RAM. But, otherwise, yes, it should work just fine.
