    Hi guys,

been after one for ages but have waited for the price to drop to a decent level and the media to catch up etc...........

now left in a situ where I don't know which one to get...........

I want it to be as quick as possible at all speeds, reliable, dual layer, cheap and basically be feature packed but also one that isn't going to be out of date in about 2 weeks!

I'll no doubt be getting it off ebuyer...........

    any ideas cheers?
    Mike

Check out this site, should give you an idea of what's available.

As far as personal choices anything by Pioneer, Benq or Lite-on have worked well for me. The only brand I know I'd stay away from due to a personal experience would be HP.

I'd suggest NEC 3520 its pretty fast and does the job well! can be had for around £35.

I've got a Pioneer 16x DVD burner and it handles - media just fine.

I had a friend with a Sony DVD burner and he said his did not like - media.

Another great brand for DVD burners is Plextor, they have been making good drives for a long time.

I'd also consider Plextor but they tend to be on the expensive side.
