    Hi,

I have been having a problem with my computer. When you boot it up it would beep for a few seconds stop then beep for a few seconds then stop and so on without ever booting up. I think it was a memory problem. I removed the bad memory and it booted up without beeping but it stops at the loading screen and says Boot from CD.

My CMOS settings show no primary master or slave, burt show my 2 hard drives as slaves. Is this the problem?

set the hard drives to master, and slave according to their spots on the cable.
Then set boot devices as Cdrom, then hard drive.

What is the processor, current FSB, ram (specific brand and speed)

if there is a cd in take t out m8, and on the back of the drives select master for the hdd and slave for the cd and even if its the rng way round for the cable it doesn't matter. hope this helps Dave :good:
