A friend of mine just came to visit me from UK. His BIOS is somehow locked and he doesn't know the password. Is there any way to break it?
The laptop is from Toshiba, but the Toshiba have asked for 60 pounds for just breaking the password. I was wondering, is there a cheaper way and convienent way,..

In most modern desktop motherboards, you can jumper your motherboard to clear the BIOS. Not sure about laptop though.

if you can carefully, and gently open the laptop, disconnect power of course and take out the battery and wait a few minutes then put it back in reassemble and turn on it should clear the BIOS.

on unfamiliar computers I just do that rather than going on an epic journey for the clear CMOS jumpers seriously why can't they all be labeled?!
