A must have for case mods. Very precise, stable, smooth operating and mine is portable being cordless I'm sure Big B has one, I couldn't imagine him without one on his utility belt Expect a review of one, and a case mod soon
I have one. It's not an especially nice one but it gets me by I guess. I hardly ever use it since I try to just buy cases that already have good airflow. I did, however, use it for the back of my firewall's chassis.
eheee I'm doing a case window mod. Very pleased with the dremel. Cuts through plastic, metal, more plastic without changing the tip thing.
I use a pneumatic cut-off saw, which is like a really big Dremel. It cuts about 20x faster, and the cuts are just as clean. The only downside is that you have to have an air compressor... hah: -AT
I did have one, but the motor blew on it. Mind you, this one is probably about the same age as I am, so all things have to go. I've been too busy with work, reviews, etc. to do modding. I did do a cut out of Seras from Hellsing in a sniping position. I still like the mod I did for my P4 box.
I think I have one but I don't have any blades, I would never dream of using it for modding, I'd probably slice though the entire case and into my desk.
pneumatic cut off! those things are really loud, pretty much anything that uses compressed air is loud though.
It's like a dentist's drill, or what a manicurist uses. Some people actually use dental bits in them. I use it two handed (mine's old and heavy and has a cord) but you guys could hold it like a fat pencil. It gives you incredible control because the bits can be very small and there isn't any wobble - unless you put the bit in wrong. :x: Depending on what you're doing, you can take off very tiny amounts with each stroke. It is to an electric drill what a sonic toothbrush is to a carpet scrubber machine.
nice description there, never thought of it as a dentist's drill I burnt out the speed controls and battery life indicator though I got a replacement easy. Probably just a lemon.
