how to remove cdrw from external enclosure

    I bought an external cdrw drive 2 years ago. I removed the cover to try to take out the cdrw drive but it is stuck in there somehow. To open the top of the enclosure i ddint need to unscrew anything there were these plastic pieces on both sides that held it together. Please tell me how to remove the drive from the external enclosure.

    Are you sure that the external drive has a normal internal drive in it?

    i believe so i mean it is connected with an ide and the three prong power cable thing.
