Somehow that's pretty cool, though it looks like it would tip right over if you put a melon on one side.

Not taking the piss at all, I own one and it's sitting in my driveway. Well I actually own two, just one is in pieces in the shed.

Oh and I'm part of the company that sells them in England. ;)

I'll get the photos developed as soon as I can so I can post me inside my Twike.

Why need straight roads? They can take corners better than most cars can.

Purely electric and can go up to a maximum speed of about 100kmph, on a full charge (only takes 2 hours to fully charge) it can get you about 75km or even further if you know how to use it well.

Pricings all depend on model and extras. There are two models, the Easy and the Active, mine is an Easy.

The two models are identical except the Active has pedals so you can pedal the car around which saves on battery charge and promotes health and fitness. It's not all that heavy, I'm able to push it along with no trouble when there's two adults of average weight inside.

Current pricing for an Easy with no extras is around £17,000 or so, which is cheaper than any high-range car on the road. You do have to realise though there are only just over 700 Twikes on the road in the world. Mainly in Germany and Switzerland there are currently 4 in England and a couple in Canada. The price may seem high but I've done a calculation, even compared to my fuel-efficient Mini the monthly cost for petrol is MORE than the extra cost on the electricity bill. Bearing in mind the Twike has a fuel efficiency of about 550miles to the gallon.

See www.twike.co.uk for more details. :) Oh and that's my Twike on the main page with my mother sitting inside.

oh i dont mean to intrude, but if you want i could design you a template for the site, rather than relying on frames :)

Electric. Not bad I like the idea of pedals.

Haha! Nah it's Woburn Abbey, FAR away from my house. Looks good though, aye? :)

As for the template I asked the webmaster and he said to thank you but he preffers working with frames at the moment but we'll let you know if we decide to take up your gracious offer in the future. Thank you again. :)

Yup, Addis, totally electric and the pedals do add a good advantage to it.

Electric car? That got my attention. I do have one concern however, it looks rather flimsy - thin wheels, largely glass body, light weight, no bumpers - it looks like the thing would just fly off/crumple under any kind of impact. How well has it been tested for safety?

It's not at all flimsy, it's got a solid frame but the outside has plastic and such so as little weight as possible is added on, besides, driving this kinda thing I've yet to see or hear of ANYONE in a Twike being involved in an accident, that's around 700 vehicles in a 10-year span of time, statistically better than most cars.
