I don't know if you've heard of this but at 9am GMT a bomb went off in London, tearing a bus to pieces and they still don't know how many died on it. After that a total of 4 more bombs have been detonated with warnings of a further 5 on the tube (subway/underground) and buses. Many people have lost their lives because of this, innocent people who had done nothing wrong who died for an unknown reason.

My respect goes out to them and my condolences to the families who have lost loved ones on this tragic day.

They will be avenged. I was watching US propoganda erhm, the news this morning with my glass of orange juice and I heard that London isn't being phased by it. They said this sorta thing happens all the time. Lies, am I right? Even if it happened every day knowing people died that shouldn't have and could have lived to see another day is disheartening.

people are still barely living with critical injuries that won't make it. So it'll be about a week until an accurate count is done

Untrue. An Islamic site is claiming they took the blame but there is no real fact behind it yet.

We aren't going to hit back either, we are proud which means that we aren't going to start a war with half the world just because we got a few bombs detonated.

This sort of thing does happen all the time, not to this magnitude but bomb scares are VERY common in London, though I've never heard of any actually exploding before.

You're right though, AT, we've had the carpet bombing not to mention the V2 rocket attacks. London has been smashed up more times than I care to remember.

The way Londoners handled themselves during the blitzkrieg make me proud of my British heritage. If England had not held out, the allies might not have won the war. These bombings may be small fish compared to that, but it's still horrible. And for what?

It's so much easier to destroy than to build the bridges of trust that make civilization. Everyone who has hope for humanity shares the horror and pain produced by this stupid act. ...and if thoughts were visible, the families who are suffering would see that they are engulfed in a tsunami of caring from every corner of the globe. Not that this diminishes their pain... but just as the killers were strangers, the hundreds of millions who care are also strangers.

Sinking into blind and mindless hatred fueled by fear is (imho) where the terrorists want us to be. Being committed to a community of independent thinkers united by civility, good will, and reason [like HF] is what anyone can do to fight back.

Interestingly enough, while some Muslims condemn the actions of their copatriots, the Koran itself promotes it. :( If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself.

Wow, that's terrible, I really feel for anyone who has to suffer the ramifications of all this:( Hope those critically injured people can pull through.
Yeah it's pretty insane how twisted some of those beliefs can get, from what I've heard it's alright to do just about anything so long as it's in the name of their god. The implications are pretty nasty.

The British have never been a nation to delve into hatred for another just for some attack on them. We don't hold grudges either, if we did we wouldn't be friends with America since they won their independance. :)

We Brits will pull through this.
