Ibm dyka23240 problem

    Hi!I'm using an Acer extensa 368T laptop with an IBM dyka23240 hdd,with 3,2 GB of storage space.My hdd has got a couple of bad sectors;i tryed a low-level format with DFT3.73 but the bad's are still there.
    what can i do?

    I'm not quite sure what you mean exactly. A bad sector means that the drive is physically damaged. A low-level format should mark such sectors as bad but it won't get rid of them if that's what you're asking.

    On the other hand if you have found bad sectors from a format and you still get errors from the drive then it sounds like the drive is on its last legs. If this is the case backup the data on it immediately and get a new one.
