When I click on a video clip it transfers the data but does not play it. I can download the clip and watch it OK. This seemed to happen after I installed sygate firewall. I have since uninstallad the firewall but don't know how to return the settings to what they were. I can't use sys restore as it does not go back far enough. Xp with sp2 and Firefox. Any advice welcome :(

Id say that the firewall isnt configured to let you stream live content, as ive had no experience with Sygate i would reinstall it and have a look through the settings and see what you can find!
    And a recommendation-
After installation of any firewall go to www.grc.com
and do the sheilds up test to test firewall strength!

Thanks for the reply. I am reluctant to reinstall sygate as it caused other probs as well. I just wondered if it was possible to return to the default play settings ?

The only thing i can suggest is to have a look at ur firefox settings and also test if the videos are viewable in internet explorer!

I now find that I have a DNS error on IE. I think I will go for a few pints now :)
