Okay so this is me venting my frustration at the bank and if anyone else has had problems with a bank, post them here. Last Tuesday I went to the bank to put some money into my account to pay for a new PSU that I was getting. So I put the money in and went to the ATM (CashMachine) to check it was in there, it wasn't....so I went inside and spoke to someone and they said "Oh yes it will be in your account but it wont show up on the ATM screens as the computers aren't working properly, but don't worry it is there." So I thought fair enough and went home and ordered my computer stuff on the internet. I recieved an E-Mail later that day from someone who works at the Computer Shop and they said the money was unable to be debited from my account, please could I contact them and let them know what is wrong. I did and told them the money probably didn't go into my account and I would go to the bank the next day and check. So on Wednesday I did and the money was then there, "excellent" I thought, "now I can order my computer parts again" so I went home and told them the money was there and they can try again. Unfortunately on Thursday after collecting my AS results I recieved an E-Mail from the company to say they had run out of the PSU's I was ordering and would have some more by the end of the week. Yesterday (Monday) I got a call from the company to say their supplier was having problems supplying these power supplies and it would take a few more days before I would recieve it. Now I am patiently waiting and hoping that I will recieve it by the end of the week, I ordered it on next day delivery so as soon as they get it, they will ship it and it will be here next day. So the point of this? For me to let out some of my frustration on the bank as I realised if the money would have gone in at the right time, then I probably wouldn't have had to wait in excess of a week to get my order. (It's not the computer company's fault, they have been really nice about it letting me decide how to handle the situation and I complimented them on this their website is www.eclipsecomputers.com check them out if you want)
I tried to order an application for for a new account with HSBC from their site but never received it. My friend also did the same a few months after and he didnt either.
When ever I've put money in my account via cash at lloyds tsb I'm sure it was instant, I do know cheques can take some time. Though I'm uncertain to how long it should take. bad luck matt!
heh i'm probably going to complain as because of them there has been major delays, now its nuthing majorly important but what if it was? you'd have to wait or what if it was needed to pay bills? they wouldn't get paid and you would be charged even more for late payment.... :swear:
this is related to this original incident with the bank, well its now 2 weeks since i ordered the computer parts with the 'missing' money, heh, and they still aren't here, i've been told that there were problems at the shops suppliers and they would recieve the power supplies in a few days, (that was last week and they should have had the on friday) they should be shipped next day delivery as thats what i asked for and monday was a bank holiday so the next working day was tuesday (yesterday) :x: Its now just gone half past four on wednesday and still no computer parts I've emailed them to ask if they have been dispatched but no reply as yet....i just want what i paid for.... :swear:
well i'm going to email them again and tell them that as i paid for next day delivery and didnt recieve the goods next day i should be re-inbursed for this as it was not my fault. Yeah i would have got them from overclockers.co.uk but their delivery costs more and the items are a little bit more expensive, plus there is another item which isn't available at overclockers and would have to be bought somewhere else, costing more delivery. well time to write another email and if they dont reply, phone them...toodle-pip for now...
Okay, so I've written the email to them i'll show you what it says. (i havent sent it yet, i'm going to wait a little bit and see if i get a reply from my original emails) i've also put in Mr X just in case, as people can be picky about putting names in.
well just before i was about to send that email to the main sales department, i got a reply, it may take another week as there is a shortage of the Tagan TG480-U01 480 Watt Black Silent Edition PSU's...i'll wait until it arrives as its this one i want and this is as cheap as i could get it plus everything is in one order and i dont want to pay for separate delivery on items from different places
