Typemaster Nice little flash typing game. I got 95wpm but im pretty sure i wasnt typing my fastest ill try again now. EDIT: Now Ive done 130wpm but still not my fastest by far. Ahh well Ill try again later if I can be bothered
cool, i swear i typed faster in my second go but it still gave me 153, maybe thats the limit of the speedo?!
no way do i type 149 words per minute in 40 seconds. First off there's no backspacing involved. Second there's no error margine, if you mispell a word it does not recognize it. Thirdly its the same test over and over, so if you mess up the first time then are ready for it the second time it becomes much easier to spell the words. Granted i am roughly at 95 words per minute with a 3 word error margin. But that was in highschool when i actually took a typing class using a "brother" type writer. I feel i'm much slower now, probably around 60-65wpm. I think its a horrible test in terms of accuracy. But a cool "game" i also realized that it doesn't matter how fast you finish the entire game. your speed is based on how fast you punch in the keys. so you can type accurately but slower and finish in 30 seconds or type really fast inaccurately and finish in aminute and somehow get 150wpm.
I'm a fairly sucky typist but I got 123 in 58secs. This is an obviously not an accurate measurement concidering it only lets you continue if you hit the right key. I backspace more than most people so I'd be at like 40 probably.
Holy crap I didn't think that was possible! Buy keyboards often you must. I guess that forum you were on that went under game you a lot of practice, with however many hundred thousand posts you had.
10,000 posts I think, or was it 20,000? It is possible to get 200 WPM, it's slightly above the average of experienced secretaries.
You never cease to amaze me mate:good: You could get some very good but boring jobs if you knew where to look at least, if you ever had to fall back on something.
yeah 200wpm is mighty impressive, i could never do that if i attempted it with rockets on my fingers...i have to say i type a lot slower at night, not because i'm tired but becauseif i type to fast my keyboard makes too much noise and wakes my mum up...she gets annoyed at me "tapping away so loudly" so i type slower so i dont hit the keys as hard....i may invest in a softer keyed and quieter keyboard...any suggestions?
