So I orded a 5700LE and when it came the first thing I did was disable my intel graphis via control panel> system> hardware> device manager then it said "you will need to restart your computer in order to take effect", I put no. then I turned off my computer then I sticked in my 5700LE in the pci slot, turned it back on and i forgot to download the Nvidia drivers so thats what I did next. with the plug still in my intel gfx I went to download the driver, wich was FORCEWARE Version: 78.01, intalled it and restarted, while restarting I switched my plug in the 5700LE but the screen just stays black?? this what is says..well you know what it says I forgot. what did I do wrong? btw i cant see anything right now with the lowest resolutin in the world! and these retarded colors.
you'll need to uninstall drivers for onboard video, shutdown, go into your BIOS and set your primary video to PCI or just disable onboard video. You should be able to load generic windows xp drivers for your 5700le and then install them and restart.
will I still be able to see my screen when I uninstall the onboard graphics because what if the 5700 still doesnt work?
yep, drivers aren't a problem at all. If you do disable onboard graphics, you'll have to clear your CMOS to get it back working if your 5700le doesn't.
