Turning Of the HDD

    Hi
    I have 2 hard disk secondry & Master, i dnt always use the secondary HDD so i there a way i could turn it off while iam in windows?.

    no way to turn it off in windows
    why would you want to?

    If you're not going to be using it then just leaveit unplugged in the case.

    The closest thing is to use the power management settings in this case, but they don't do what you want. Addis happens to be on the mark as bearer of bad news: if you want it off, you're probably best to just unplug the power from it. You could fashion a power switch for that lead, but you'd have windows to contend with, including having to remove it first in Device Manager---every time before you turn it off.
