does anyone know what the maximum overclock on two msi nx7800gtx's in sli? i do not have any extra cooling but my case is the thermaltake shark. And also can u tell me what the expected 3dmark05 score would be (my processor is an amd athlon 64 X2 4400+ )

Finally, what would my maximum overclock and my 3dmark05 score be if i implemented a cooling system such as the thermatake big water cooling kit.
    thanks

I'd say with that setup you'll be looking to get around 12000 or more in 3dmark05.

As for overclocking, usually its dependant on the invidual card, some overclock more than others. You should be able to get a 5% overclock from stock settings and possible more if you use better cooling in your case.

You could get it up to 500/1500 if you didn't have stock I would think, but with stock I still don't think you'd be that far off could be wrong though.

Well its not going to be easy to replace the GPU heatsinks, so I would say you could get better cooling as more efficient airflow in your case; tidying cables as much as possible. To get better cooling I'm taling about the CPU, getting a meaty heatsink to give headroom for any CPU overclocks which should give you more performance.

It's not about 'the best money can buy', it's about how good they perform and if they fit your motherboard! It would be worth checking if those heatsinks actually suit your motherboard, size and socket wise!

    Zalman CNPS9500 LED Heatsink Review

    Thermaltake Blue Orb 2 Review

It'd be worth reading the reviews first, to determine if they suit your needs!

For CPUs, the Arctic Freezer coolers have very good reputations at keeping your CPUs sub 30c in normal rooms.

my motherboard is an asus a8n-sli so both fit my motherboard, as for my needs, well, im a gamer, so as you can guess i would want to reap out the highest performance my computer can offer.
from the links you gave me i gathered that the zalman would be the best cooler for me, (since im also looking for a pretty quite cooler as well as high performance), what do u think?

you mean something like this: Arctic Freezer 64, i read a review on it and it said that the noise lvl is 1.0 Sone, what does that mean, 100db?

If you read the review and think it suits your needs, then by all means, go for it!
I don't think any cooler in history is 100dB!
