just took a look on this thread http://www.hardwareforums.com/xgp-slot-the-problem-8322/ so, is it possible for me to buy a motherboard (skt939) thats good for overclocking and everyhting else that is PCI-E and has an XGP slot on, and that i can use my AGP X800XT PE on?
I was going to suggest a bridge for AGP to PCI-E bt they only work with some nVidia cards. You can get an AGP/PCI-E motherboard like this: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=MB...076db280624ee311fb03400bbfeadc4fc6d14e48ddb7b
Most of those pseudo-AGP slots (XGP) are tied into the PCI bus, which has the video card sharing bandwidth with the rest of the system. Secondly, the motherboards that have these aren't targeted at overclocking, more like the average joe who wants to upgrade as little as possible on the cheap.
XGP slots offer lousey performance, up to a 50% cut Don't bother with one of those, as I stated in the thread you linked, and as Pelvis pointed out your card isn't supported, the Geforce 6 and ATI X series are nowhere to be seen. The ASrock is a real bargain, I haven't heard anything bad about them for the most part. http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.aspx?i=2524 looks good to me:good: Newegg liked it too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813157081
