has anyone ever been ripped off doing this B/S/T thing? and sry if i was suppose to put this somewhere else
i think i have before in buying, spent £100 on an FX5200 256MB OC BFG graphics card, i was thinking it was a high end graphics card when i bought it , it was only about 8 months ago too.
if you mean just in the forums, why dident you say, as what is the point of this thread if no one can be screwed becouse of the rules :s
Can't say I have, concidering nobody bought what I was trying to sell and I haven't anything. Though I agree, the rules keep it safe.
You didn't get ripped..you made a mistake..and That was self implied, and people could get ripped, the rules won't stop that. We are just fortunate enough not to have had this occur.
There's been no sour deals here that we've been informed of. And yes, while we do have rules, there's been cases of good traders gone bad. There was one former [H]ard|Forum mod that's been troublesome enough to make the TrollHunters list. This is why we make anyone who deals in the BST forum have a valid e-mail address posted. If a party intentionally screws someone over, the valid e-mail address could be used to help track them down. Many forums require this to deal on their forums, so we're not the only ones doing this. In fact, a lot of the trading rules are what you'll find on other message boards. So far, we haven't had to pursue anyone, but as the forum grows, there's gonna be some clown that will get in. They will be visited by the ban fairy for starters. Now, it's the buyer's responsibility to check out the seller, not ours. That's why we encourage signing up on Heatware to establish a reference listing for yourself. Again, this isn't foolproof, but having a lot of trades and no bad references looks good. That and being respectful helps get you points.
ooooh, well les jus hope no one gets screwed doin this B/S/T thing o yea and if neone notice BST also stand for Basic Stanards Testing (in the U.S)
