Okay so they're not calling it that but the Inquirer seems to think that's what it is more or less.

Mighty tempting, for anyone with a ton of money to blow on a new top of the line card at least.

Well the 1800 XT wont be able to compet with that, it was basically a little better than a normal GTX, but with a core at 550mhz and 1800mhz memory, that thing is going to just brutally rape every game out there.
And considering current overclocked GTXs are pushing $500 and up, the ultra might be pushing $600.

Oh, sorry man, forgot about that thread for some reason. Yeah it will be pricey but remember the 7800 was supposed to be as high as $650 at launch and actully started at $600, then is down to $489 or so.

My mouth is still hanging down in astonishment over the 1800MHz memory and 550MHz core, plus if it has a monster cooler there may be some overclocking potential, 2GHz memory maybe?!

I'm sure the cooler will be dual-slot massive and pretty loud but it will do it's job. Don't know if there's much more OCing potential as with air cooling a 110nm process is going to get pretty hot and the memory is pretty much pushed to the limets but I'll be you can still sqeeze a bit more anyway.

I can't wait till this summer, because nVidia realesed its new line on the same date three years running, and hopefully they will make an 8 series with dual GPU :)

Yeah I won't buy anything till dual core is cheap, the M2 socket is in, and 32 pipeline cards are common, next summer basically like you said.
