I have the chance to buy some hardware and I may build a system out of it to sell on, the hardware is: EPOX 8RDA+ Motherboard Athlon 2500+ Barton CPU GeForce 5700LE 128MB Graphics Card I need to get other stuff but for a basic system for someone what do you reckon I should pay for that? One of my dad's friends is selling it and wants an offer...I've got a case but I could buy a small one....then I'd put maybe a 40GB HDD in, 256MB/512MB RAM, CD-RW and an install of Linux (optional) and sell it on for a bit more than what I payed for it all...if it's gonna cost too much then I may not as I thought this would be a nice project to do for someone... I'm thinking 120-150 USD. 2500+ barton's are known for 3200+ speeds easy with little heat increase since that's what they were designed to do anyway. Just get some 512mb pc3200 ram and set the FSB to 200. That's what I've done to mine with no voltage increase.
I'd say it's worth around 100£ or so. Yeah just some basic value select 512 stick will do. A CD RW drive for cheap and maybe a cheap HDD of ebay or something. You could probably get twice as much for it if you know where to sell it.
hmm yeah, might do that, but at the minute I don't know if I'm going to have time to find cheap parts for it etc as I have a lot to do ('Toxic Box' mod for one thing.....)
