Im trying to build a gaming PC.. What do you guys think of this processor,mb, and ram... I only have about $1600 to spend on this and i wanna get a 19'' LCD monitor too.. but what are you opinions on these... Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819103533 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813130491 Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145450
Awesome the ram is really nice stuff, and for $201 the proc is a steal. I'd personally go with ABIT for the mobo just as I've found them to be a little more reliable from what I've read. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813127222 I'd get a 7800GT, a nice Soundcard, an Antec True power or OCz Modstream psu, and a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116355 monitor
Heres what i would suggest CPU: AMD Athlon 3800+ $282 MoBo: Asus A8N-SLI $133 Mem:Crucial Ballistix 512MB DDR400 (x2) CAS 2-2-2-6 $120 (for both) GPU: Evga 7800GT (460/1100) $340 HD: West. Dig. Caviar 160GB SATA II $85 OD: NEC Dual Layer DVD Burner $40 PSU: Antec TruePower 550 $90 Sound Card: Creative SB Audigy 2ZS $93 (of X-Fi Extr. Music $120) this setup will cost about $1220, so this plus a case, and monitor, and if you need an OS you might need to shave off a few bucks here and there. Also all prices were found at newegg.com i can posts some links later. (these prices are of the top of my head, but they should be pretty accurate) So you have $380 give or take to spend on monitor and case, should be plenty, youll have a really sweet rig.
