What Are You Getting For Christmas?

This is just here to tell the members what you are either Getting OR Wanting for christmas!

I'm getting an acrilyc case from my dad and from myself i'm getting a 17" TFT monitor :good:
If anyone else in my family want to give me presents it better be computer related or lots of beer!

 

Since my birthday is dec. 15th and christmas is ten days away I just combine them both for a super duper holiday.

I'm getting $500 cash. I've already been over it and it's settled.
1gig OCZ ram, a 6600GT, maybe a new case, getting my little beloved r/c car fixed and saving the rest of the money.

 

A selection of games for my PS2, that's all I know about, no one dares to get me computer stuff because they're all scared they'll get worse than I already have. My family aren't exactly that computer literate.

 

Neither are mine, i always have to get my own computer stuff.

I need a new motherboard for my AXP 2700 box, some money for a+/network+ exams, and maybe some wireless gear to get me off the dining room table.

 

I know I'm getting some cloths for sure. My future mother in law doesn't really like my camo shorts.

I've put down various CD's and DVD's, as well as gift certificates for certain places, and an actual computer desk. What I'm using now works great, but come September, it's going to be the dining room table and I really don't want to go back to using the cart I had at the apartment.

 

Im going to New York, and got £100 so far. Dunno what else im getting though.

 

I think I might be getting a freeview box and I really just want money, it will go towards 'Matt's University Laptop Fund' for next year
Yeah my family won't buy me computer stuff without me telling them what to get, Pretty much anything would be better than this heap but they ask me what I want and I tell them where to get it etc so they get the right thing(s)

 

I was hoping to get the Thermaltake Soprano case.
But I think I'm getting a new digital camera..... Fuji A345..... I think.....

 

I am getting a digi cam with a docked printer and dollars for my trip to NYC

 

My Christmas is looking pretty drab unfortunately. It'll be primarilly an Amazon Christmas. So yeah a few computer based books, hopefully a mag subscription to PC World or something, a few CD's, and a some happy little game they won't find objectionable (I usually buy my own and do my best to play everything descretely).
I would definately not trust my folks to buy me components. I mean my dad is computer literate but has no idea what is currently compatable or of good quality on the market now. I won't even talk about my mom's computer knowledge.

 

Yeah I can see what you're saying there Ex, for example: for my birthday (about 6 weeks ago now) I paid for my graphics card and my mum paid me back, she told me to pay for it so I got what I wanted then she'd pay me back because she didn't know what to get...

 

I always get book at christmas, last year it was Networking/c++, probably go for Amazon this year.

 

I think mine has changed, I think I'll be getting an O2 XDA Exec as my current phone decided to break.
I was going to get the normal XDA IIi or maybe even the XDA IIs but the Exec looks like it's got a lot more features and has a nice QWERTY keyboard to use. But I'll have to see what happens...

 

I'll probably be getting satellite broadband internet. I'm sick of dialup :/

Well I'm sure if the whole forum sells their rigs and make a massive donation we can get you one bud I can picture Big B delivering the beast dressed up as a tech savvy santa, the name Big B sounds pretty Santaish to me.

 

I guess I'm the only one who has a family that doesn't want me to know what I'm getting. The only thing I can be confident of is that I'm not getting computer stuff. My family is completely ignorant of computers (my brother has called me asking if he can press continue on a screen). When asked what I want for christmas, my brother specifically says "...And I'm not buying you anything for your computer." Which pretty much automatically means presents aren't going to be as exciting (not to be bitter).

 

I've decided on canceling my computer upgrades as I need a car. I'm thinking of spending a couple hundred on my drums, selling one of my drumsets and with some helps from the parental units getting an early '80s VW.

I don't have my license yet but driving a mercedes cl500 around makes me too nervous.
