I have an ABIT VI7 motherboard that says it can support an optional AGP graphics card up to AGP 8x mode. When I turn my computer on I don't see anything but the hard drive, cd drive, and fan start going. I figure its the graphics card since mine was made in like 1993.

So the question is, will this card work?
    Chaintech XGI Volari V3 / 128MB DDR / AGP 8X / VGA / DVI / TV Out / Video Card

Or should I just go with this one? XFX GeForce FX 5500 / 256MB DDR / AGP 8X / VGA / DVI / TV Out / Video Card

Or should I go with something else? I don't really play any 3d games, but I might get day of defeat source.

    Thanks for any help.

EDIT: I forgot to add that my mainboard only supports 1.5v and 0.8v, not 3.3volt agp cards

Both of those cards will work, i would reccomend somthing like a 6600GT or 6600, or maybe X700 or X700PRO, they do play most games well, and will last you quite a while if your your not a gamer.
Maybe try for somthing like a ATI Radeon 9600xt or 9800xt, they all come in agp, and are quite good, they both play games very good aswell, and are alot cheaper than the x700 and 6600 series of cards.

all these cards support 1.5v AGP i think, as my old motherboard was 1.5V agp 8x, and was compatible with a high end X800XT PE graphics card from ATI.
