Im currently typing upside down. My display has gone inverted. Everything is upside down and mouse movement is also inverted. Im currently doing a virus and spyware scan. What if it is a virus and i can not get rid of it, and if it's not a virus, what can I do to fix it. Is there a setting that may have been altered. By the way I have a Windows 2000 OS. Please help, thank you.

Have you used any software (check programs running in systray and background) that could have done this? Some nVidia software has features which can invert screens etc.

No I do not have any software that would have done this. I do not have a Nvidia card. I use and Integrated card. The weird thing is this happened over night. I turned on my computer and it was inverted. My virus scan found 6 viruses, 2 of them being trojans but once i removed the viruses and restarted my PC it was still the same.

Try uninstalling your graphics card drivers completely. That will force Windows to redetect your graphics card upon restart. You can do this by uninstalling the drivers from the add/remove programs utility located in the control panel, or via the device manager located in 'System'.

Okay, I uninstalled the drivers which fixed the inversion. However, my screen is now only displaying 16 colors; somewhat looks like it's running in SAFE mode. Also I can only display at a resolution of 640x400. When I restarted, it came up saying that it cannot find a driver for my adapter. Kinda lost, any help?

I don't really know what to suggest for you; since Windows 2000 is not an OS which supports System Restore.

You need to find out what card you have and download the appropriate drivers for it.

Do you know what graphics card you have installed on your computer? What 'program' did you uninstall to return your PC to normal?

Heres a hint: Your graphics card will either be an ATi, nVidia, SiS, S3, Matrox or 3dfx.

If you still don't know, tell me the make and model of your computer and I will tell you which drivers you need, and where to get them.

[ot] Thats a very slick avator you have there! ;) [/ot]

He's using a graphics controller, not a graphics card. It's Integrated and made by Intel.
