Motherboard and BIOS Serial Number

    Hi, all!

    Do you know how is created a motherboard and BIOS serial number? Is it unique number? is there a rule to create this?

    The motherboard's serial number should be etched onto the motherboard.

    BIOS's don't usually have serial numbers. They have version numbers though, and you can see them whenever your computer boots (in the POST).

    If you have a branded computer, you may not see the POST (you may only see the company logo). If this is the case, you will need to enter the CMOS setup utility to find more information

    Thanks for your response. I want to get these information from microsoft windows and use it. Do you know if there is a pattern to create serial number? Does the Manufacturer use a pattern?
