Hi all Can someone recomend safe, free image hosting. I am basicaly after a private area where I would give a friend or family member a unique link where they can view the images. cheers for all suggestions.
Hmm, good question. I run a server expressly for that purpose, I guess that wasn't the answer you were looking for?
I suppose you could use free hosting, and use a .htaccess and a .htpasswd file to stop anyone without the password from accessing the folder. Then using directory indexing they can browse the folder with all the images. Any more questions just ask.
Try http://www.kodakgallery.com/Welcome.jsp You have to register, but it's free of charge. The only problem is anyone who wants to view the photos needs to log in. Is this what you were looking for?
www.imageshack.us register, you can keep track of images.. the image is uploaded and the file name is either renamed or messed up slightly...hard to find the image if you don't know its address. note my sig: http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/4971/stormtroopercopy1mz.gif adds a 1mz to the end of it for whatever reason, as well as different directories/servers.
