At about 3 days ago, my monitor either shuts down or go "wild" with a lot of color stripes or something (I can't see a thing but i know it's there).

The problem is I don't know what's wrong , my videocard ,my Motherboard or memory.
My videocard it's very hot but, doesn't seem to go over the treshold.
My Motherboard's retail chipset fan stops working and it's very hot.
I already buy a zalman chipset cooler but I will like to know if it could be a Videocard problem, because of the display issue?

I have this Specs: A8N-SLI Deluxe; AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3700+, 2211Mhz; 2GB Dual channel Memory; Plextor DVDR PX-716A; Seagate 250 MB S-ATA; EVGA GeForce 6800 GT 256 MB; 600 watts enermax power supply.
    Please help me

    Thanks in advance.

Off-hand, it sounds like the video card may have some bad RAM chips on it.

This may sound a bit simple, but see if the degauss function on your monitor sorts it out. Stange stripes on your monitor is a common sign of too much static build up.

    Ok
    It's a desktop pc.
I hooked up to another monitor and does the same thing.
Right now i am using it.I have air conditioner on, case is open and a fan is blowing directly to my pc. The videocard is cool, cpu heatsink it's cool too but , worthless chipset fan it's hot.

I build my pc since august 2005 and it has running smoothly till 3 days ago

I haven't overclock anything in my pc, i changed to latest video driver but that was before the incident. I will replace the chipset fan by the weekend and see if that's the problem.

Do you think that dual channel memory is doing anything? a change in that configuration may help?

Since the cooling solution (air conditioner + fan directly to Mobo)the stripes or interference has only happens twice for few seconds and dissapear after that

    PD
Thank you all for your answers

The dual-channel memory shouldn't have anything to do with it. If there's any RAM that's a problem, it'd be what's on your video card.

Make sure your fan is working on the video card. If it's not, you can either do an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) with the company that made the card (which I'd recommend if it's still under warranty), or replace the cooler with something else.
