how do put passwords on shared folders on network. so wen i try to open that folder from computer B it will prompt me for password. __________________
I don't know of any ways to do this with Windows File Sharing, but one way would be to use a password protected zip file. Thats about all I can think of without employing FTP servers.
I know exactly how to do it in Windows 98, but it's been changed in 2000/XP. It is possible thats for sure, but you'll have to wait for another board member to post.

You specify the individual password for each user account which will be allowed to connect to the share.
