Memory upgrade

    ok i have a G733 laptop i want to upgrade the memory again and it says it can have 1gb with 512mb technology so does that mean 1gb or 512 it only have one dimm slot

    i think it means it has a 1gb capability from 512mb already installed+512mb additional

    [google]CPU-Z[/google] should tell you how many memory slots you have available.

    how much ram does the laptop come installed with?

    it came with 128 i upgraded to 256 and now i wana go from there

    and it i ran CPU-Z it it only has one dimm

    sorry but i thought i'd throw in my opinon - just for the fun of it, right i think ninja fetus ment you already have 128Mb RAM built into the laptop, the reason you only have 1 dimm slot: this is for upgrades, since you already have 128Mb in that slot, i think your only option is to buy some new RAM (e.g. 512Mb) and remove the 128Mb dimm and replace with the one you bought, obviously remembering ninja fetus said you can have a maximum of 1Gb RAM
