i got a new graphics card but it dosent fit into my mb.

i think it needed a pci express slot??

my mb is just a standard one,

could someboady tell me if this is why the card didnt fit?

and also recommend another powerful card but without the pci express bit

    you said it:

silly cunt, don't worry about it we all mak mistakes, we wouldn't be human if we didn't, but it made me laugh,
anyway, just thinking  wouldn't it be cheaper to keep the PCI -E card and buy another M/B or try to get where you bought from, to swap your M/B, it's worth asking them

Most likely. PCIe doesn't fit into the AGP slot.
You can get the 6800GS in AGP version, it'll most likely be a little more expensive than the PCIe version.

Some websites say PCX instead of PCIe.
This is what an AGP slot looks like.
This is what and PCIe slot looks like.
Check your motherboard and see what slot it has before proceeding.

Yes. If you still want the GS, there is an AGP version.
It's a good card for the money.
