dvd problems

    Hi, i trie to copy somthing onto DVD using DVD Decrypter, and i keep getting this message appear, what does it mean, does it mean faulty drive?!?!?!?

    Is this when you start to copy or when the burning starts?

    I got that message when I was using cheap media. Try different DVDs

    Is your DVD r/w New?
    Does it read DVD'd?
    Is it first time?
    Did you tried a second dvd?
    Different software...?

    Yeah, if it's doing that with the burn, then, yeah, get some good media. I've been happy with TDK DVD-R's and Sony DVDRW's (and I would think that Sony DVDR's are also good quality).

    the dvd's are tesco dvd's (tesco supermarket lol), but seems like there just re-branded phillips dvd's, the DVD rw is a nec DVD rw, and seems to get some cycle redundency check errors whern installing stuff off dvd's aswell.
