Hi, can anyone tell me how to connect a Formac monitor (DVI) to a Sony Vaio desktop (VGA). So far have been advised to either get an adapter

    http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/DVI-VGA.html?id=9KFMHAc5,

    a graphics card, http://www.exciteit.co.uk/store/EXCITE_viewItem.asp?idProduct=50663

and a converter (do I really need to go to this expense)?http://www.networktechinc.com/vga-dvi.html
I am not into gaming, this is for Photoshop use. Thanks.

i'd just get the adaptor or a new gfx card, you are just wasting you money if you get the convertor

It'd be pointless to buy a new GFX card so just get a DVI to VGA adapter.
    Much cheaper.
